Further to my 'promotion' to Captain,  I wish to inform you all that Sharon Paterson from Kelso is the new Junior Convenor for the BLCGA, I wish her well and I am sure she will do a great job.

6 girls from Kirkudbright to Kelso played in truly tropical conditions at Kelso today.  Many thanks to lady captain, Gillian Herriot and all at Kelso for their kind hospitality and courtesy of the course.



Danielle Ker (Roxburghe) won with a new Kelso course record of 70 - 3, 67.  Tara Mactaggart won the scratch prize with 76.

Scottish schools - team champions

Tara and Dani after winning the 2013 Scottish schools team championship for the borders by 10 shots. Their scores 146 (74 72) and 147 (72 75) respectively a also earned them 3rd and 4th place in the individual event. Well done girls.

Unfortunately due to various circumstances the decision has been taken to postpone the girls strokeplay championship due to be held tomorrow at Cardrona.

Border Ladies Championship

Tara Mactaggart is playing well and now plays Sheila Cuthbertson in the semi finals on Sunday. She beat Isla Craigie 7&6 in the first round and Sharon Paterson 3&2 in the quarters. 
Danielle Ker won her first round match against Marny Waddell 5&4 but lost out to Sheila Cuthbertson 3&2.
Leanne Wilson was beaten by Liz Campbell 5&4 in the first round.

Summer medal 7th July - Kelso

South summer medal is at Kelso on Sunday 7th July. First tee time 11am. Please forward entries to either Fiona or Marjorie

BLCGA Championship qualifier

Tara Mactaggart is no1 seed for the Border Championships to be held at The Roxburghe on 4th/5th May.  She led the field at Peebles on Sunday 21st April with a 76 scratch.  Other juniors making the field are Dani Ker who qualified 4th with 79, Leanne Wilson qualified 11th with 87.
Tara plays Isla Craigie, Dani plays Marny Waddell and Leanne plays Liz Campbell.
In the bronze section 2012 champion, Rhea Middlemass is no 1 qualifier, she gets a bye in the first round, her sister Zara qualified 4th and will play Sammi Barrie.
Well done to you all and good luck for The Roxburghe.
