Border Girls Championships - Jedburgh 20th May

15 Border girls played in three separate competitions at Jedburgh today
In the main championship congratulations goes to Danielle Ker (5) from The Roxburghe, her course record breaking round of level par 70 won her the Scratch Trophy 
Leanne Wilson from Kelso won the Handicap Trophy with a net 70

A new event for girls who have not yet attained a handicap of 36 was introduced, 6 girls played in this 6 hole competition played from the ladies tees.

3 girls played in a flag competition where they all hit 36 shots
In a close game they all were on the 5th hole with Sophie Allott getting it in the hole

Day Two BLCGA Championships

Congratulations to the junior girls who made finals day at the Roxburghe today.

In the first semi Tara Mactaggart was eventually beaten at the fourth extra hole by Leanne Wilson.  Leanne, playing in her second final was beaten by the experienced now nine times champion Judith Anderson

13 year old Amy Martin took Alison Fleming to the 18th in the first semi of the bronze championship
11 year old Rhea Middlemas with her dad on the bag, who only got her first handicap in October last year won the other against Sammie Barr 6&5. She then beat Alison in the final at the14th.

Day one - BLCGA Championships




Thats the first day of the BLCGA Championships over - bring on tomorrow
In the first round Tara Mactaggart and Danielle Ker had good wins against Shiela Leifer and Gillian Oliver respectively, Leanne Wilson won on the 19th hole against Kirsty Inkpen
In the quarters Tara had to work very hard to get through against Sharon Paterson at the final green, Danielle struggled with her game against Leanne eventually losing on the 17th

In the Bronze quarters the youngsters had a brilliant day with Amy Martin beating the no1 seed Lucille Patterson 4&3 and Rhea Middlemass winning 3&2 against the no2 seed Kath Fletcher

Tomorrow Tara plays Leanne in the first semi final of the main championship the winner will meet either Judith Anderson or Ailsa Bain in the final
In the bronze semis Amy plays Alison Fleming, Rhea will play Sammie Barrie
Good luck to the four of you tomorrow and play well

BLCGA Championship

Good luck to all the girls who have qualified for the Border Ladies Championship at The Roxburghe this weekend
Tara, Dani & Leanne all playtheir first round ties on Saturday morning in the main championship.
Amy & Rhea play their first round on Saturday afternoon in the bronze championship.

Fairhaven Trophy

Tara MacTaggart is playing in the Nations cup at Fairhaven , Lytham St Annes this weekend.  2 boys and a girl are in each team, Scotland have 3 teams entered.  Scotland are current holders of the cup.
